The Garlic House

We went out to dinner last night with some friends....we went to the Garlic house. IT WAS SO GOOD!!! It is located in Naha which is on the southern end of the island. It only look like 20 minutes to get there....and traffic was not that bad. We went with empty stomachs and a taste for LOTS of garlic! The place is called ARIN KRIN in Japanese.....if we have any visitors over here in Oki we will have to go here!! The portions are a little small.....so we just ordered several dishes and shared them all!!!
Beef & Broccoli
Tandori Chicken
Keith and I cheesin!
OMG - these were deep fried garlic mash potatoes and they had a melted cheese in the center!! This is a little piece of heaven!!
This is some kind of octopus dish that Nikki and Chris got.....did not look good to me!
Deep fried shrimp with garlic cheese sauce! This was the BOMB - and I don't even really like shrimp!
Oh these are spicy fries - they have this sweet thai sauce on them....way good~
Deep fried garlic - now you have to LOVE garlic to like these....I tried it and I will not be eating it again!
Oh in every restaurant in Japan you have these little bells at the table - so when you are ready to order you push the button and they come. They are not coming back to the table every 3 minutes to bug you! Very nice!!!

So the restaurant on the outside is covered in big pieces of garlic....and they have some sayings on them....kinda funny!
This is some garlic hanging from one of the entryways....they had garlic hanging everywhere - when we walked in it smelled SO good!!! Like you would imagine that a restaurant that cooks with garlic would! LOL
This is a picture of some of the paintings that were just on the wall all throughout the restaurant. This one was in the ladies bathroom - which by the way was small, I would guess the doorway is only just as tall and I am....weird.
Ok for all the adults that are looking at this blog - the group collectively thought that the garlic looked like something else.....I'll let you decide what!! LOL
One of the pictures and the sayings on the outside
This was when we walked in the front door - a shelf full of Saki
This is my garlic pizza....sorry about the shadow I had my filter on....but the pizza was delicious! It had garlic actually on the top - but the garlic was NOT overpowering - it was perfect!!
At every restaurant in okinawa they give you a hand towel that is wet - to wash your hands....its very nice!
View of the entrance from our table.

This is Keith's Beef Steak with Garlic. OMG - this dish was awesome! The meat was so tender, and juicy!! It was set on a bed of sauteed onions....yum!
This is a tomato salad - very good it had an Asian dressing on it!
Here is some of the group - clockwise: Steph, Jeff, Amy, Kevin Carrie and that is the right side of Alicia's face. Nikki, Chris, Keith and I are on the other end.
Kevin - being...........Kevin! LOL

We had a great time out with the gang.....we stopped off at Starbucks for an hour or so for some coffee and LOTS of laughs! Then some of the ladies went out to party.....I am sure there are some good stories to tell about that! LOL More to come......

Just a few shots!

So I was just taking some random shots - we have not done anything or gone anywhere too fun these past few weeks! Enjoy!!
This is a local fisherman on one of the jetty's at sunset
Same guy
We take Logan to this park that is right by the beach - this sign is there and I have no idea what it says...but I thought it was pretty
Ok so we bought Logan a bunch of play-doh just the other day - and he was totally into making this snake....but he had to do some serious maneuvering to make it!

This is baby Harlow - He was a puppy that came into the clinic last week! Too cute to pass up!
I took this from our balcony. The sun does some incredible things here in Okinawa - I am amazed but the awesome pics I am able to get!!!
Keith with what else...his grill! We went over to Jeff and Amy's and he smoked a brisket
Jeff and Amy gave us this sweatshirt - her brother had it made for their son Logan - but he is too big for it now!

Keith took about 50 pics of me - I just kept a few! LOL
Logan playing with Nolan
Boo Boo playing the Wii with us - we were playing Golf...he almost won! LOL

Some more pics of the park that we like to take Logan to - the sun reflects perfectly on the water!!

Here is Logan's snake that he worked so hard to make!
His sponge bob boxers!! Thanks Mi-Mi and Grandpa!
Sunset in our backyard!
Logan break dancing!

Pirate Ship Park

So we went to the Pirate Ship Park today. We went with the Ruff's and Steph and her daughter Savana. It was really nice....its was only like a mile from our house....I can't believe that I didn't know about it. It is going to be really nice in the summer....but I can tell that its gonna be really busy too. Logan had a blast playing with all the kids, and I had fun snapping all the shots. I am totally in love with my camera in case you couldn't tell!! LOL
Here we have the layout of the park, it also is a running/walking track
Nolan, Savana and Logan
This is the sign in the entrance, I have no idea what it says but it was pretty :o)
Keith and Jeff - he was just acting like he was licking his cheek....I just missed the shot :o( The next series of photos are of Logan and his break dancing!! He is totally adorable.

Hey Mom!
This is what the walls looked like - all these different sea animals engraved in them it was very pretty.
Me and the girlies.

The kids at the fountain
She was too cute to pass up :o)
The pirate ship
Ok so we went down to a part that was close to the water, and there were all these holes. Here in Japan they have squatty potty's and these looked like they were huge potties. LOL
Sweet baby on the rocks.
Closer
This guy drove by on his bike...with the baby in the front. I just thought this was an interesting way to travel with the infant.
So Amy and I wanted to take some pictures out on this dock but it was locked....so this was the gate....and from the looks of the spikes on it I will NOT be going back...
Ames...shooting me..
Boo Boo Head

Making his AAARRRGGGHHH pirate face!
Hey Mom!
Front of the ship

We just went potty, he is running back to play
Remember I mentioned the squatty potty - here it is, in all its glory. And no I did not go in it - Logan did. I did have to use one before at another park....and let me just say you can really strengthen your leg muscles with all the hovering you have to do! LOL
