The Garlic House

We went out to dinner last night with some friends....we went to the Garlic house. IT WAS SO GOOD!!! It is located in Naha which is on the southern end of the island. It only look like 20 minutes to get there....and traffic was not that bad. We went with empty stomachs and a taste for LOTS of garlic! The place is called ARIN KRIN in Japanese.....if we have any visitors over here in Oki we will have to go here!! The portions are a little small.....so we just ordered several dishes and shared them all!!!
Beef & Broccoli
Tandori Chicken
Keith and I cheesin!
OMG - these were deep fried garlic mash potatoes and they had a melted cheese in the center!! This is a little piece of heaven!!
This is some kind of octopus dish that Nikki and Chris got.....did not look good to me!
Deep fried shrimp with garlic cheese sauce! This was the BOMB - and I don't even really like shrimp!
Oh these are spicy fries - they have this sweet thai sauce on them....way good~
Deep fried garlic - now you have to LOVE garlic to like these....I tried it and I will not be eating it again!
Oh in every restaurant in Japan you have these little bells at the table - so when you are ready to order you push the button and they come. They are not coming back to the table every 3 minutes to bug you! Very nice!!!

So the restaurant on the outside is covered in big pieces of garlic....and they have some sayings on them....kinda funny!
This is some garlic hanging from one of the entryways....they had garlic hanging everywhere - when we walked in it smelled SO good!!! Like you would imagine that a restaurant that cooks with garlic would! LOL
This is a picture of some of the paintings that were just on the wall all throughout the restaurant. This one was in the ladies bathroom - which by the way was small, I would guess the doorway is only just as tall and I am....weird.
Ok for all the adults that are looking at this blog - the group collectively thought that the garlic looked like something else.....I'll let you decide what!! LOL
One of the pictures and the sayings on the outside
This was when we walked in the front door - a shelf full of Saki
This is my garlic pizza....sorry about the shadow I had my filter on....but the pizza was delicious! It had garlic actually on the top - but the garlic was NOT overpowering - it was perfect!!
At every restaurant in okinawa they give you a hand towel that is wet - to wash your hands....its very nice!
View of the entrance from our table.

This is Keith's Beef Steak with Garlic. OMG - this dish was awesome! The meat was so tender, and juicy!! It was set on a bed of sauteed onions....yum!
This is a tomato salad - very good it had an Asian dressing on it!
Here is some of the group - clockwise: Steph, Jeff, Amy, Kevin Carrie and that is the right side of Alicia's face. Nikki, Chris, Keith and I are on the other end.
Kevin - being...........Kevin! LOL

We had a great time out with the gang.....we stopped off at Starbucks for an hour or so for some coffee and LOTS of laughs! Then some of the ladies went out to party.....I am sure there are some good stories to tell about that! LOL More to come......
